OnePlus Nord has a lot of mouth publicity, and why not. It deserves to be the best. Experts have a lot of good things to say about this smartphone. However, some lags are also detailed here.
Let us begin with the goods. We loved the software and build quality despite the phone having plastic rails. The 90Hz AMOLED display and OnePlus Warp Charge 30T steal the show. The battery juices up from zero to 100 percent only in an hour. The phone design is eye-pleasing, and we liked the primary camera also. But it could have been much better. The demand for OnePlus Nord Cases are trends in the market.
On the contrary, the phone lacks the microSD card slot and wireless charging option, but worth the price. Though what about the secondary cameras? They are far from perfect. So, if you desire a better camera, you should skip this phone.
The phone performance is good but struggles when you play HD games. If you are a gamer and love playing 3D games like Fortnite, you will need a powerful chipset than this.
Overall, the OnePlus Nord is a great phone but does not stand out from the crowd. It is a value-for-money device and a great buy for OnePlus fans. Those who love great software can get this mobile, but not for all.

What do buyers think about OnePlus Nord?
Most of the buyers loved OnePlus Nord being the mid-range phone by the OnePlus brand. Many found the phone hot but criticized the IP rating, wireless charging, and headphone port. The selfie camera performance did not impress the users either. Are you are user? What is your rating? Comment below and let us know what you think.
What about OnePlus Nord cameras?
There are a total of six cameras on the OnePlus Nord. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor with 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro lenses. It incorporates two selfie cameras, a 24MP camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Its camera setup is impressive. The primary 48MP camera produces sharp and detailed images, but the color seems faded and dull.
The other three-camera system is not crisp. Sharpness through the frame’s borders is one of the issues with the 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Nord system does not apply noise reduction in many places.
The 5MP depth portrait shots are not impressive either. The 2MP camera is the worst in all and produces poor quality clicks.
The nightscape mode captures bright images in low light. Unfortunately, it is only usable with a 48MP camera, but when you switch it to ultrawide or portrait modes, it misses out on the details.
For selfies, the results are hit and miss. The colors are great with a good dynamic range, and the contrast is good too. But there is too much skin smoothing.
Overall, the camera of the OnePlus Nord is acceptable, but when you compare them with this price range phones, there are far better options available in the market.
Is OnePlus Nord Battery Life Long-Lasting?
The device packs a 4,115mAh battery with a Warp Charge 30T fast charging. The battery life is good and lasts the whole day easily. However, you get a better one in the same category.
While comparing it with Oppo Reno 4, Realme X50, or LG Velvet, the phone lasts longer than its competitors. You can charge smartphones from zero to 100% only in 57minutes.
OnePlus Nord design and build:
The OnePlus Nord follows all the modern aspects when it comes to design and builds. It has a punch-hole cutout, thin bezels, and a quad-camera module that looks clean. On the back panel, sits the pill-shaped camera module at the left corner with a decent bump. Apart from the camera it has a brand logo and is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
It is available in two colors- the blue marble looks divine. It is worth to be mentioned that there is no IP rating on the phone. But you will have no issues with build and design.
The Display of the OnePlus Nord is pretty responsive:
A display of any smartphone has the most crucial aspects. Here, the phone is equipped with a 6.44inch AMOLED panel that comes with a standard 90Hz refreshing rate. It makes the phone pretty responsive and smooth.
OnePlus is partnered with Fortnite and PUBG but it is not a part of the program. Whenever it will get support, it is a great experience for the gamers. The display comes with a snappy in-built fingerprint sensor that is nice in this price range. The display is the strongest department of the Nord range.
Performance and Software:
The Nord phone powers Snapdragon 765 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard memory. The performance however is slower than OnePlus 8 due to the flagship. It handles all the games easily. We loved the performance of the phone and multitasking was smooth but if you are expecting a flagship performance level, you will be a bit disappointed.
One of the positives of the Nord smartphone is OxygenOS. It comes with Android 10 OS. If you know everything then you know about the software too. The Android 10 has a user-friendly interface and features. It has a bunch of customized options. Like you can customize fingerprints, battery icons, gestures, fonts, and more. In all, the software is top-notch and will you a brisk user experience.
Pros:
- 90Hz display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset
- 5G Network
Cons:
- No microSD slot
- Not for 3D gaming
Verdict:
The OnePlus Nord is a mid-range segment with great specs. It is a flawless phone with a 90Hz AMOLED display that provides a snappy experience. It stands for hours with a 4115mAh battery and charges fast with a 30W fast charger. If you are expecting a crisp detailed camera, be ready for dissatisfaction. The same is with the gaming experience.
For looks and performance, the smartphone deserves a shot, but for its camera, it’s a big NO.
